TO BALANCE CHEMICALS
You can put chemicals in right away after the pool is filled:
1. Put (1) yellow jug of liquid chlorine to shock pool water
2. Put (2) 3 in. chlorine tabs in automated chlorinator. The tabs have some stabilizer and
conditioners in them
3. Get test strips and test pool water after doing #1 and #2. For a more complete reading, take a
sample of your pool water and have it test it by your local pool supply store.
4. PH should ideally be between 7.4 – 7.6
5. After testing the pool water put in what item that is needed. It may need additional stabilizer,
conditioner, or acid. The chlorine may be high at that point which is OK. It will go down
quickly in this hot weather.
6. Check chemicals frequently as you may have to add more acid and chlorine being a new finish
7. Run filter a lot.
8. Brush finish daily for a least 30 days
9. Use hand/manual vacuum to clean pool for 30 days
10. DO NOT use any automatic suction vacuum like Creepy Crawler for a least 30 days.
11. The finish cures itself
VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU HAVE A SALT POOL:
1. You CANNOT PUT SALT in your pool UNTIL 30 DAYS
2. Follow the above instructions to balance chemicals
3. After 30 days it is safe for you to put salt in after your refinish.
4. If you have a pool cleaning service please inform them you just had a new surface installed and to balance the pool for 30 days with the above chemicals. After the 30 days they can convert the pool to salt.
